The word “Entrepreneur” can mean many things to many people. It describes the young kid who opens a summer lemonade stand and sits out in the heat for hours while friends and family pay 25 cents to support him. It also describes people like Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. These industry legends tinkered with products and ideas that no one had ever heard of, and nearly everyone laughed at, but now are must-haves in every home.
For some reason, we only associate entrepreneurs with success. We never think of someone who spent large sums of money to purchase a franchise or start a business from scratch and failed as an entrepreneur; we only give them that title after they’ve become successful.
Ironically, an entrepreneur is defined at dictionary.com as,But what risk did the lemonade stand or the others in the first example above face? Minimal start-up capital, but maybe some public ridicule?
The fear of losing money and failing is typically what keeps people in their current job, “comfortably miserable,” and stuck in a lifestyle that will never change. They hear horror stories of fortunes and homes lost, families torn apart, but it doesn’t have to be that way. You don’t need to take risks (at least with money) to start a business and become financially independent.
At The Paone Group we help people join the “You Economy” and start a home-based business. We work with individuals and couples, young and once-young, who need to increase their household income but can no longer trade hours for dollars. When the dollars you need exceed your available hours, that’s when we can help. But don’t wait until you’re desperate; it’s much easier to build a business when you don’t have to…but you still see the need.
And we can’t help you if you’re looking for a get-rich-quick deal. If we had one, we’d have done it and retired!
But if you’re serious about being in business for yourself, if you’re serious about opportunities that cost much less than an iPhone X and are willing to commit to working a couple of hours a week to build your own business, then we can help.
You still run the risk of ridicule from family and friends….but only until you become successful.
